Mr. Welch, Principal of Colony Capital, LLC, manages certain financial and operational aspects of Colony's investment portfolio.

Prior to re-joining Colony in 2005, Mr. Welch was a Director for Goldsmith Agio Helms (now Lazard Middle Market) and provided auditing and consulting services with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Welch was also previously a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. focusing on mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings for companies in the real estate, retail, consumer product, and defense industries.

Mr. Welch received an M.B.A from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern California. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (license inactive).
