Mr. Brauer joined with Colony to establish Colony Realty Partners, LLC in 2005, where he is a Senior Managing Director. He serves on CRP’s Board of Managers and Investment Committees and is primarily responsible for portfolio and asset management.
Prior to the establishment of CRP, Mr. Brauer was the Director of Asset Management at TA Associates Realty (“TA”), where he served on the firm’s Executive, Acquisitions, Investment and Asset Management Committees. Mr. Brauer had the responsibility of managing a team of 10 asset managers including four regional directors. Mr. Brauer was also the portfolio manager for TA’s two largest separate accounts, Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association and Massachusetts Pension Reserve Board. The combined value of these two portfolios was $1.2 billion. Mr. Brauer was with TA for 14 years, the last 12 as a partner.
Prior to joining TA, Mr. Brauer was an asset manager at John Hancock Properties, where he managed a diversified portfolio of office, industrial, retail and multi-family properties. Previously, he was a leasing broker and member of the development team at Spaulding & Slye, a national real estate and brokerage firm. Mr. Brauer received a B.A. in History from Tufts University and an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Real Estate Development Program.
