Mr. Bazin, Principal, Managing Director Europe and Chief Executive Officer of Colony Capital SAS, Colony’s European operating subsidiary, is responsible for directing Colony’s investment activity in Continental Europe. As such, Mr. Bazin is responsible for the identification, evaluation, and consummation of all new investments in the region, with a particular concentration in France, Spain and Italy.

Prior to joining Colony in 1997, Mr. Bazin was the Group Managing Director and General Manager of Immobiliere Hoteliere (“IH”), a French public company, where he was responsible for IH’s corporate finance activities and its worldwide hotel operations. Prior to joining IH, Mr. Bazin was a Director of Hottinguer Rivaud Finances, a French investment bank, and was a Vice President in the mergers and acquisitions group of PaineWebber in both London and New York.

Mr. Bazin received a Master of Business Affairs (“Maîtrise de Science de Gestion”) from the Sorbonne University, Paris in 1985. He also served in the Firemen Corps of Paris from 1984 to 1985 during his military service.
