Mr. Alberti, Principal of Colony Capital, LLC, is responsible for new business initiatives and objectives throughout the world as well as expanding Colony’s opportunity fund business in products and regions in which Colony is not currently involved.

Prior to joining Colony in 2004, Mr. Alberti formed his own firm to provide mergers and acquisitions and business development services in connection with China-related investments. Prior to this, Mr. Alberti was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley until 2001, during which time he was seconded as head of investment banking to China International Capital Corporation in Beijing. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Alberti was a Senior Vice President in Lehman Brothers’ public and corporate finance departments in New York City and a senior investment banker in regional investment banks in Boston. Mr. Alberti began his career as a real estate and corporate lawyer at Debevoise & Plimpton in New York City.

Mr. Alberti is a graduate of Williams College, where he majored in Religion and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and is a graduate of Columbia Law School. He served as a law clerk for Hon. Harold R. Medina of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of the bar in New York and Massachusetts.
