LOS ANGELES, CA – January 7, 2008 – Colony Capital, LLC today announced that Richard D. Nanula has joined the firm as a Principal, reporting to Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Thomas J. Barrack, Jr. Mr. Nanula will take on a senior role in all firm activities worldwide, with a special focus on existing and future operating company transactions. He will be based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Nanula, 47, most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Amgen, Inc. During his six-year tenure as a member of the company’s executive committee, he was responsible for finance, corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and internal and external relations. Under Nanula’s oversight, Amgen made a number of significant acquisitions and raised substantial capital. Prior to joining Amgen, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in New York. Mr. Barrack said, “We welcome Richard to the firm.
